Venus Angelic Living Doll: a Full Tarot Deck (Canceled)

The Venus Angelic Living Doll Tarot is a full 78-card deck created by Margaret Palermo, designed for collective metaphysical healing, self-reflection, and shadow work. The deck aims to provide a tool for introspection and personal growth, offering a unique visual approach to traditional tarot archetypes. Although the Kickstarter campaign was canceled, the concept outlined a comprehensive offering for tarot enthusiasts.

The deck was intended to be a limited edition, emphasizing its collectible nature. Each deck was planned to be housed in a book-shaped box and accompanied by a printed guidebook, along with an innovative multidimensional AR guidebook. This blend of physical and digital resources suggests a modern approach to tarot learning and interaction, catering to contemporary users who appreciate technological integration in their spiritual practices.

The thematic focus on healing and shadow work indicates a deck designed for deeper, transformative readings rather than simple fortune-telling. The creator, Margaret Palermo, brings a background in various creative fields, suggesting a unique artistic vision for the deck's imagery and overall presentation. The inclusion of an AR guidebook points to an interactive experience, potentially offering animated interpretations or additional layers of information beyond static text.

The artwork displays a highly stylized, filter-like aesthetic, reminiscent of digital art filters that transform photographs into painterly or mosaic-like images. The colors are vibrant and often appear in fragmented, almost stained-glass patterns, with bold outlines defining shapes. For example, 'the Magician' card features a figure with blue skin and a wide-open mouth, holding a red orb, surrounded by what appears to be a spiderweb, all rendered in this distinct, broken-color style. 'the Tower' card shows a structure collapsing amidst flames, with the same fragmented, high-contrast color application. This technique gives the cards an energetic, somewhat surreal quality, diverging significantly from traditional tarot art styles. The visual approach is modern and striking, designed to evoke strong emotional responses and encourage intuitive interpretation.

This deck is suitable for tarot readers interested in modern, visually distinctive decks that incorporate digital art techniques. It appeals to those focused on self-reflection, shadow work, and metaphysical healing, particularly readers who appreciate a blend of traditional tarot structure with contemporary aesthetics and interactive elements like AR guidebooks. Collectors of unique and limited-edition decks may also find it appealing due to its specific artistic style and the creator's background.
