The Wandering Star Tarot Deck

The Wandering Star Tarot Deck, created by artist Cat Pierce, is a 79-card set designed to foster self-knowledge and enhance intuitive abilities. The deck features full-color, hand-drawn illustrations printed on sturdy art paper with a matte UV finish, housed in a durable matte finish box with gold foil accents and a magnetic flip-box closure. This deck aims to be a mystical and magical tool for personal healing and deeper understanding.

Each deck comes with a 128-page, full-color guidebook that is designed to fit neatly inside the box. This guidebook provides explanations for both the Major and Minor Arcana, offers various layout examples, includes images of each card, and presents "Spirit-channeled messages" corresponding to each card. The inclusion of these channeled messages suggests a focus on intuitive and spiritual guidance, making the deck suitable for those seeking a more profound connection during their readings.

The campaign successfully funded in 2020, indicating a strong community interest in its unique blend of artistic expression and spiritual intent. The emphasis on hand-drawn designs and spirit-channeled messages positions The Wandering Star Tarot as a deck that values personal connection and artistic authenticity, appealing to readers who appreciate a more intimate and guided approach to their tarot practice.

The artwork is hand-drawn, characterized by clean lines and a vibrant, yet not overly saturated, color palette. The style observed on the box art features a central figure with intricate details in her clothing and accessories, set against a rainbow-hued arch. The overall aesthetic leans towards a mystical and slightly folk-art inspired feel, with elements like snakes, skulls, and celestial motifs integrated into the design. The colors are rich and distinct, with a clear emphasis on outlines and patterned textures, suggesting a detailed and deliberate artistic approach. The matte UV finish described in the campaign would likely enhance the tactile experience of these detailed illustrations.

This deck is ideal for tarot readers of all skill levels who are drawn to mystical, spiritually-focused decks with a strong emphasis on intuition and self-discovery. It will particularly appeal to those who appreciate hand-drawn art with a distinct, slightly whimsical, and intricate style. Readers looking for a deck that includes channeled messages and a comprehensive guidebook for deeper personal insight will find this deck a valuable tool.
