The Holiday Healing Oracle Card Deck

The Holiday Healing Oracle Card Deck is a 33-card limited edition oracle deck created by Magick and Mediums, with illustrations by Alicia Matthieu. The deck aims to extend the feeling of holiday magic and healing beyond specific dates, encouraging daily gratitude and celebration. It draws on the mystical roots of various holidays, presenting them as portals to transformative energies that readers can access at any time.

The deck's core concept is to remind users that the magic of the holidays resides within themselves, not just in the calendar day. Cards are designed to inspire a sense of celebration and healing, making every day feel special. The campaign highlighted examples such as 'Birthday Magick' and 'Harness the Magick and History of Valentine's Day,' suggesting a diverse range of holidays and celebratory themes are covered within the 33 cards.

Beyond the cards, the campaign offered complementary items like a 22x22 inch oracle deck cloth that doubles as a scarf or bandana, and a 7.5x5 inch cotton zip bag for card storage. Backers were also given the opportunity to participate in the deck's creation by voting on card titles and final images, and to receive original artwork by illustrator Alicia Matthieu.

The artwork for The Holiday Healing Oracle Deck is described as illustrated by Alicia Matthieu. The campaign provided glimpses of the artistic process, showing sketches alongside final artwork for cards like 'Gift' (inspired by Yule) and 'Passion' (inspired by Loving Day). The style appears to be illustrative, with a focus on conveying the themes of each holiday. One image of the 'Death' card, inspired by the Day of the Dead, suggests a vibrant, possibly folk-art influenced approach, featuring a skull motif. The overall aesthetic seems to be colorful and detailed, aiming to capture the celebratory and mystical essence of various holidays.

This deck is suitable for individuals interested in daily spiritual practice, self-care, and connecting with the celebratory and healing energies of holidays year-round. It appeals to those who enjoy oracle decks with a positive, gratitude-focused message and appreciate a blend of mystical and celebratory themes. Readers who value unique, limited-edition decks and enjoy participating in the creative process may also find this deck appealing.

The Holiday Healing Oracle Deck is a labor of love by its creator, Anielle Reid, under the brand Magick and Mediums. Reid's vision for the deck was to allow readers to access the magic and healing powers of holidays at any time of the year, fostering daily gratitude and celebration. The project aimed to involve backers in the creative process, allowing them to vote on card titles and final images, and providing behind-the-scenes looks at sketches and artwork development.
