TABULA IDEM: A Queer Tarot Comic Anthology

TABULA IDEM is a multi-faceted project by Fortuna Media, combining a 240+ page black and white comic anthology with a 22-card Major Arcana tarot deck. The anthology features over 25 contributors, each crafting a queer-centric short story around one of the Major Arcana cards, from The Fool to The World. These stories span various genres, including domestic slice-of-life, science fiction, and fantasy, all designed to explore and flesh out the traditional tarot narrative through diverse LGBTQIA+ perspectives.

Each comic in the anthology culminates in a dedicated tarot card artwork, providing visual context and character to the imagery. The book also includes pages to teach tarot spreads and explain the nature of each card, blending traditional understanding with contemporary identity. The accompanying full-color 22-card Major Arcana deck mirrors the artwork from the anthology, offering a practical tool for daily readings while the book provides deeper narrative and symbolic elaboration.
