Rustic Roots Lenormand

The Rustic Roots Lenormand is a 36-card deck designed by Melissa Wotherspoon, launched successfully on Kickstarter in 2020. It offers a fresh take on the traditional Lenormand system, characterized by its "back to the cabin" vintage aesthetic. The deck's primary goal is inclusivity, providing diverse representation within its rustic theme, which is a notable departure from many traditional Lenormand decks.

The artwork style is minimalist, utilizing a limited color palette that evokes a natural, earthy feel. Each of the 36 cards features a clear, recognizable symbol central to Lenormand readings, presented with a charming, hand-drawn quality. The deck is designed to be accessible for both seasoned Lenormand readers and those new to the system, offering intuitive imagery that resonates with its core themes of nature, simplicity, and connection.

While specific material details like card stock weight are not provided, the visual presentation suggests a sturdy, tactile quality consistent with its rustic theme. The deck's compact size and clear imagery make it suitable for various reading styles, from quick daily draws to more complex grand tableau spreads. Its unique blend of vintage charm and modern inclusivity positions it as a distinctive option within the Lenormand community.

The artwork for the Rustic Roots Lenormand is characterized by a minimalist, hand-drawn style with a distinct rustic charm. The color palette is earthy and muted, dominated by shades of brown, black, and a prominent red plaid pattern, which reinforces the "back to the cabin" theme. Figures, such as the 'Man' card, are depicted with simple, bold lines and a lack of intricate detail, giving them a universal and approachable quality. The use of a kraft paper-like background for the card faces further enhances the vintage, natural aesthetic. The card backs feature a classic red and black buffalo plaid, perfectly aligning with the deck's overall theme.
