MYTHICAL CREATURES BOOSTER PACK: THIS DECK IS HAUNTED!

The Mythical Creatures Booster Pack is an 18-card expansion for John Jennison's "THIS DECK IS HAUNTED!" oracle deck, though it can also be used as a standalone set. This booster pack introduces a collection of legendary beings, from the whimsical Faerie to the formidable Wendigo, each rendered in a distinct black-and-white, hand-drawn style that complements the original deck's spooky theme.

Each card in the booster pack features a different mythical creature, accompanied by its name on a scroll at the bottom of the card. The imagery is designed to offer guidance and insight, aligning with the oracle deck format. A digital guidebook is provided via QR code, detailing the meanings and origins of each creature in connection with the "THIS DECK IS HAUNTED!" universe, allowing for both individual interpretation and integrated readings.

The campaign successfully funded in 2021, indicating a strong interest in Jennison's unique blend of mythical themes and gothic art. The pack offers an opportunity for existing fans to expand their collection and for new users to explore a curated selection of creatures with a consistent, atmospheric aesthetic.

The artwork is characterized by a hand-drawn, black-and-white aesthetic, utilizing strong linework and varied shading to create depth and texture. The style leans into gothic and slightly macabre themes, evident in elements like skulls and melting candles that frame the creature illustrations. Each creature is depicted with a distinct personality, from the ethereal Faerie perched on a skull to the muscular Centaur and the skeletal, antlered Wendigo. The background textures vary, from starry skies to mottled, shadowy effects, adding to the atmospheric quality. The overall visual mood is dark and whimsical, consistent with the "haunted" theme of the main deck.

This booster pack is ideal for collectors of unique oracle decks, particularly those who appreciate gothic, spooky, or mythical creature themes. It will appeal to existing owners of "THIS DECK IS HAUNTED!" looking to expand their reading possibilities, as well as new readers interested in a compact, thematically cohesive set of creature cards. Readers who enjoy black-and-white art and a slightly darker aesthetic will find this deck appealing.
