Legend of Zelda Tarot Deck Restock

The Legend of Zelda Tarot Deck is a 78-card tarot deck that reimagines the classic Rider-Waite-Smith system through the lens of Nintendo's iconic Legend of Zelda video game series. Created by Lizard Wizard Studios, this deck integrates beloved characters, creatures, and artifacts from the Zelda universe into the Major and Minor Arcana, offering a familiar yet fresh experience for fans of both tarot and the games.

This Kickstarter campaign represents a second production run of the popular deck, indicating its initial success and demand. The restock includes the original 78-card deck and introduces a new "Deluxe Special Edition," suggesting potential upgrades in materials, packaging, or additional content. The deck aims to provide a unique way for fans to connect with the lore of Hyrule while engaging in self-reflection and divination.

The artwork captures the distinct aesthetic of the Legend of Zelda series, with illustrations that are both recognizable to fans and thoughtfully adapted to tarot symbolism. The blend of fantasy themes and traditional tarot structure makes it a compelling choice for collectors and readers seeking a deck with a strong narrative and visual identity rooted in a beloved pop culture franchise.

The artwork is hand-drawn with a distinct comic book or graphic novel aesthetic, characterized by bold outlines and a slightly gritty, textured feel. The color palette observed in the image is vibrant but somewhat muted, with a prevalence of earthy tones, blues, and reds, giving it a slightly vintage or worn appearance. Characters like Link are clearly recognizable, depicted in a style that balances the original game's design with a more illustrative, expressive quality. The card designs incorporate iconic Zelda elements, such as the Triforce on Link's shield in the "Justice" card, and the Majora's Mask in the "Devil" card, demonstrating a thoughtful integration of the game's lore into traditional tarot symbolism. The overall visual impression is dynamic and action-oriented, reflecting the adventurous spirit of the source material.

This deck is ideal for fans of The Legend of Zelda video game series who are also interested in tarot. It appeals to collectors of pop culture-themed decks and those who appreciate hand-drawn, illustrative art styles. Both beginner and experienced tarot readers who enjoy a strong narrative theme and can connect with the rich lore of Hyrule will find this deck engaging.

Lizard Wizard Studios was founded by an individual with a lifelong passion for tabletop games and fantasy. This passion began with writing short stories in fantasy and horror, which eventually led to the desire to create content for the tabletop world. The studio collaborates with talented artist friends to bring Dungeons and Dragons content and, in this case, a Legend of Zelda-themed tarot deck, to a wider audience, sharing their love for imaginative worlds.
