La Flora Tarot

The La Flora Tarot is a botanical deck that draws inspiration from centuries-old drawing masterpieces, rendered in a distinctive stippling technique. Created by Iara Côrtes (laluli), the deck aims to connect readers with the "Intelligence of Flowers," suggesting that the natural world holds profound insights for divination. Each card is illustrated with intricate floral designs, presented in a monochromatic palette that evokes classic botanical etchings.

Launched successfully on Kickstarter in 2021, the campaign raised $39,018 from 495 backers, indicating strong interest in its unique aesthetic and theme. The deck is available in a tuck box version, with various reward tiers offering additional accessories such as a naturally hand-dyed reading cloth, custom wooden boxes, wooden card holders, a lucky coin, and art prints. The inclusion of a PDF guide ensures accessibility for readers, providing interpretations that align with the deck's botanical focus.

The overall design of La Flora Tarot positions it as both a functional divination tool and a collectible art object. Its emphasis on detailed, classic illustration combined with a nature-centric theme offers a serene and contemplative reading experience. The monochromatic art style and the use of stippling give it a timeless quality, appealing to those who appreciate historical art techniques and the symbolic language of flowers.
