Kickstarter Gold: """"""""""""""""Supra"""""""""""""""" Beyond the Otherworlds. An Oracle.

The Supra Oracle, created by Chicago design and art studio Uusi (Peter Dunham and Linnea Gits), is an entirely original, hand-inked oracle deck. Positioned as a tool for meditation and guidance, it encourages participants to explore authentic truths about their individual character and connect with a universal, creative energy. The deck is loosely based on Jungian psychology and its intersection with Gnosticism, aiming to blend physics, psyche, and ancient knowledge to inspire self-discovery and transformation.

Uusi describes the oracle as a 'Hero Journey' accessible to all, promoting positive character transformation through understanding one's essential self. Unlike tarot, an oracle deck offers a looser, more artistic exploration of this journey, suitable for standalone use or as a complement to tarot readings. It functions as a gentle, daily guide to explore individual moments within a larger epoch, building an inner bridge to ancient, universal archetypes and humanity's folkloric past. The deck seeks to nourish the soul, energize the present, and empower the future in an increasingly fast-paced, machine-driven world.

The creators emphasize the deck's role in encouraging reflection and allowing time for human connection, listening to both heart and mind. This project was part of Kickstarter Gold, a celebration of creativity, and features individually numbered, gold foil seals for decks backed through the campaign. Uusi's history with Kickstarter includes 10 successful playing card projects and two tarot decks, the Pagan Otherworlds Tarot and Eros: The Garden of Love, demonstrating their extensive experience in card design and production.

The artwork for the Supra Oracle is described as 'entirely hand-inked,' suggesting a traditional, tactile approach to illustration. The campaign text emphasizes a 'fine art approach' to card artistry, drawing from the creators' background in custom playing card design and their Pagan Otherworlds Tarot. This implies detailed, deliberate linework and compositions that evoke a sense of ancient mysticism and psychological depth, aligning with the deck's Jungian and Gnostic inspirations. The style is likely to be intricate and symbolic, designed to facilitate deep meditation and self-reflection.

This deck is ideal for individuals interested in deep self-exploration, Jungian psychology, and Gnosticism, or those seeking a meditative tool for personal growth. It appeals to experienced oracle and tarot readers looking for a complementary deck with a unique artistic and philosophical foundation. Collectors of Uusi's previous works, particularly their Pagan Otherworlds Tarot, will appreciate the continuation of their distinctive hand-inked aesthetic and thematic depth. It is also suitable for those who value artisanal, hand-crafted items and a slower, more reflective approach to divination.

Uusi is a Chicago-based design and art studio founded by partners Peter Dunham and Linnea Gits. Their journey with Kickstarter began in 2012 with a passion project to create a hand-drawn custom playing card deck, which evolved into a six-deck series over three years. Following this, they ventured into tarot, releasing the Pagan Otherworlds Tarot in 2015 and later the limited edition Eros: The Garden of Love. The Supra Oracle represents a continuation of their exploration into meaningful card design, building on their extensive experience and a loyal Kickstarter community that has supported their artistic endeavors for over six years.
