EROS TAROT, an Original Adults Only Tarot Deck

The EROS TAROT is a complete 78-card deck designed for mature audiences, featuring original uncensored illustrations. Launched successfully on Kickstarter in 2020, the project aimed to celebrate the beauty of sex through its artistic interpretations of the traditional tarot archetypes. The deck maintains the standard 78-card structure, allowing for readings that align with established tarot systems while offering a unique, adult-oriented visual language.

This deck is intended to provide a fresh perspective on tarot, integrating themes of intimacy, desire, and human connection into its imagery. By focusing on the explicit representation of sexuality, the EROS TAROT offers a tool for self-exploration and understanding in areas often overlooked by more conventional decks. The creator's emphasis on "uncensored illustrations" suggests a commitment to artistic freedom and a direct engagement with its chosen subject matter.

The campaign successfully raised $6,242 from 200 backers, indicating a significant interest in a tarot deck that openly addresses and celebrates sexuality. The availability of giclée prints of individual cards as reward tiers further highlights the artistic focus of the project, allowing backers to acquire gallery-quality reproductions of their favorite illustrations from the deck.

Based on the campaign description, the artwork consists of 78 original, uncensored illustrations that depict various aspects of sex and sexuality. The explicit nature of the art is a central theme, with the creator aiming to celebrate the beauty of these subjects. While no images are available for visual analysis, the emphasis on "original illustrations" suggests a distinct artistic style, likely leaning towards figurative or expressive forms to convey its adult themes.

This deck is specifically for adult tarot readers and collectors who are comfortable with explicit content and are interested in exploring themes of sexuality, intimacy, and desire through their tarot practice. It appeals to those seeking a non-traditional, boundary-pushing deck that offers a direct and artistic representation of human sexuality. It is not suitable for minors or those who prefer more conservative or symbolic imagery.

Chain Assembly created the EROS TAROT with the explicit goal of celebrating the beauty of sex through 78 original illustrations. The project successfully launched on Kickstarter in 2020, demonstrating a clear demand for a tarot deck that openly explores adult themes. The creator's vision was to provide an uncensored artistic interpretation of tarot, offering a unique and direct approach to the subject matter.
