Enchanted Woods Lenormand Oracle Deck

The Enchanted Woods Lenormand Oracle Deck is a hand-illustrated set of cards by artist Colleen Hardy, designed to evoke a storybook aesthetic. The deck features intricate black-and-white illustrations for each Lenormand symbol, framed by either a striking pink or a classic black border, offering two distinct visual experiences within the same thematic concept. The campaign highlights its 'story-book pictures' and the inclusion of 'variant significators,' which allows for greater personalization in readings.

Launched successfully on Kickstarter in 2019, the deck garnered support from 49 backers, raising $2,880. While primarily a Lenormand deck, the campaign blurb also references "Lenormand tarot/oracle deck," suggesting an intuitive approach that might appeal to readers familiar with various divination systems. The artwork's detailed, monochromatic style with a pop of color in the borders creates a unique visual identity that stands out from more traditional Lenormand offerings.

The deck's design emphasizes both aesthetic appeal and functional readability. The clear, symbolic imagery characteristic of Lenormand is rendered with an artistic flair, making it suitable for both seasoned Lenormand practitioners and those new to the system. The choice of border colors allows users to select a deck that best matches their personal style or the mood of a reading, enhancing the overall user experience.

The artwork is hand-illustrated in a detailed, monochromatic style, primarily using black and white with varying shades of grey to create depth and texture. The illustrations depict scenes and objects with a storybook quality, featuring elements like forests, animals, and symbolic structures rendered with fine lines and intricate patterns. The image shows two versions of the deck: one with a vibrant, almost neon pink border and card backs, and another with a solid black border and card backs. This contrast is striking, as the internal artwork remains consistent in its black-and-white palette, allowing the border color to dramatically alter the deck's overall mood. The style is reminiscent of classic engravings or woodcuts, but with a modern, whimsical touch.

This deck is ideal for Lenormand readers who appreciate a unique, hand-drawn aesthetic and enjoy a touch of whimsy in their divination tools. It will appeal to collectors of indie decks, especially those drawn to black-and-white art with bold color accents. The inclusion of variant significators makes it suitable for readers who prefer to customize their personal cards. It could also attract tarot or oracle readers looking to explore the Lenormand system with a visually distinct and approachable deck.
