Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Discreet Tarot align playing cards with the Minor Arcana?

The Discreet Tarot takes a standard 52-card playing card deck and reinterprets each card to correspond with the Minor Arcana of a traditional tarot deck. This means the four suits of playing cards (Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs, Spades) would align with the four tarot suits (Cups, Pentacles, Wands, Swords), and the numbered cards and court cards would be given Minor Arcana meanings.

What unique features do the court cards have in the Discreet Tarot?

The court cards in the Discreet Tarot are designed with astrological and pathwork-based symbolism. This suggests that each King, Queen, and Jack (or equivalent) would carry specific astrological associations and relate to concepts from Qabalistic pathwork, adding layers of esoteric meaning beyond standard playing card interpretations.

Is the Discreet Tarot a full 78-card tarot deck?

No, the Discreet Tarot is described as a redesign of 52 playing cards to align with the Minor Arcana. This implies it focuses on the 56 Minor Arcana cards, likely excluding the 22 Major Arcana cards found in a full 78-card tarot deck, making it a specialized deck for Minor Arcana readings or a unique playing card set.
