Celtic Myth and Magic- a tarot deck for the future

The Celtic Myth and Magic tarot deck is a 78-card set created by artist Christabel, drawing inspiration from Celtic mythology and the natural world. The deck aims to combine traditional tarot structure with imagery rooted in ancient Celtic lore and the wildlife of the Sussex countryside.

Each card in the deck is designed to reflect both the established meanings of the tarot and the specific themes of Celtic myth and magic. The inclusion of wildlife suggests that animal symbolism plays a significant role in the card interpretations, blending the natural environment with mystical narratives. The deck is accompanied by a full guidebook, intended to assist readers in understanding the unique blend of Celtic themes and tarot symbolism.

This first edition deck was offered with various tiers, including options for a custom-designed holding pouch and original pen and ink artwork from the deck's creation. The emphasis on both the full 78-card set and a comprehensive guidebook indicates a complete and functional tarot system for users.

The artwork for the Celtic Myth and Magic tarot deck is described as pen and ink drawings, suggesting a detailed, illustrative style. The theme of Celtic mythology and wildlife implies imagery featuring mythical creatures, ancient symbols, and various animals, likely rendered with a focus on natural forms and intricate linework. The King of Wands, for example, is depicted as a wolf on a snowy hillside, indicating a blend of animal majesty with elemental settings.

This deck is ideal for tarot readers interested in Celtic mythology, folklore, and nature-based themes. It will appeal to those who appreciate hand-drawn, illustrative art styles and seek a deck that connects spiritual practice with the natural world. Both beginners and experienced readers who enjoy thematic decks will find it engaging, especially with the accompanying guidebook.
