Botanical Beasts (Books & Oracle & Playing Cards)

The Botanical Beasts collection, created by prolific artist Jessica Feinberg, encompasses a unique oracle deck, a standard playing card deck, a creature lore book, and a coloring book. The core of the collection is the 72-card oracle deck, which is available in two sizes: a larger tarot size and a more compact pocket size. Each card features intricately drawn mythical creatures, such as dragons and faeries, intertwined with botanical elements, offering a blend of fantasy and nature.

The oracle deck is designed to provide intuitive guidance through its rich imagery and associated keywords. The campaign emphasizes the versatility of the products, catering to both those interested in divination and collectors of fantasy art. The companion creature lore book delves deeper into the mythology and inspiration behind each botanical beast, enhancing the reading experience and providing context for the artwork. The coloring book offers an interactive way to engage with Feinberg's detailed illustrations.

Feinberg's approach combines her vivid imagination with a professional work ethic, evident in the breadth of products offered within this single campaign. The project successfully funded on Kickstarter, indicating a strong interest in her distinctive artistic style and the thematic fusion of plants and fantastical creatures. The various components of the Botanical Beasts collection are designed to complement each other, offering a comprehensive experience for fans of fantasy art and oracle readings.

The artwork for Botanical Beasts is characterized by highly detailed, intricate illustrations that blend natural elements with fantastical creatures. The style appears to be hand-drawn, possibly with colored pencils or fine-line pens, then digitally enhanced or colored, resulting in a vibrant, almost iridescent quality. The color palette is rich and varied, with each creature and plant rendered in a unique combination of hues, from the soft pastels of the 'Stargazer Lily' griffin to the intense blues and purples of the 'Moonflower' dragon. The creatures are depicted with a sense of whimsy and elegance, often adorned with flowers, leaves, and other botanical motifs. The overall aesthetic is dreamy and magical, with a strong emphasis on organic forms and flowing lines. The hexagonal 'Hexcore Card Set' also features similar detailed dragon illustrations, suggesting a consistent artistic vision across all card products.

This collection is ideal for fantasy art enthusiasts, particularly those who appreciate intricate illustrations of dragons, faeries, and nature-inspired mythical beings. Oracle readers seeking a visually rich and intuitively driven deck with a strong botanical and creature theme will find it engaging. It also appeals to collectors who enjoy multi-component sets, including companion books and coloring activities, and those who prefer decks available in multiple sizes for different reading preferences.
