Bird Ov Prey Oracle Deck 2

The Bird Ov Prey Oracle Deck 2 is the second and expanded iteration of artist Jorden Haley's unique oracle system. Launched successfully on Kickstarter in 2020, this deck builds upon the original with additional cards and refined imagery. The deck is characterized by its striking visual contrast: minimalist black and white illustrations on the card faces, framed by dark borders with prominent gold-foiled details.

The oracle system itself appears to be highly intuitive, relying on a collection of symbolic images rather than a fixed structure like tarot. The imagery draws heavily from occult, alchemical, and esoteric traditions, featuring symbols such as skulls, snakes, candles, lightning bolts, and various sigils. This approach allows for a flexible reading experience, where the reader's intuition and personal associations with the symbols are paramount.

Designed for those who appreciate a darker aesthetic and a direct, symbolic approach to divination, the Bird Ov Prey Oracle Deck 2 offers a distinct alternative to more traditional or narrative-driven decks. Its production quality, indicated by the gold foil, suggests a premium feel, making it appealing to collectors and practitioners seeking a visually impactful and conceptually deep oracle.

The artwork is characterized by high-contrast, stark black and white line art on the card faces, which are framed by dark borders. These borders feature intricate gold-foiled illustrations, including snakes, skulls, candles, and lightning bolts, creating a luxurious yet dark aesthetic. The central card in the image, the deck's title card, showcases a detailed gold illustration of an all-seeing eye, crescent moons, and swords, all rendered with fine lines and a radiant effect. The overall style is gothic and occult, utilizing clean lines and bold symbolic imagery to convey its messages. The visual impact is immediate and powerful, designed to evoke a sense of mystery and ancient wisdom.

This deck is ideal for experienced oracle readers and those with an interest in occult, gothic, or esoteric symbolism. It will appeal to individuals who prefer an intuitive reading style over rigid systems and appreciate a dark, high-contrast aesthetic with luxurious details like gold foil. Collectors of unique and visually striking decks will also find this edition compelling.
