A Photo Based Tarot Journey on the Evolution of Becoming

Michelle Kelly's "A Photo Based Tarot Journey on the Evolution of Becoming" was conceived as a photographic exploration of universal interpretation through imagery. Launched on Kickstarter in 2012, the project aimed to translate a personal journey of evolution into a visual narrative using photography as its primary medium. The campaign text emphasizes the project's focus on receiving and interpreting the universe through images, suggesting a contemplative and introspective approach to the tarot.

While specific details about the card count or the exact structure of the tarot system are not provided in the available campaign story, the title clearly indicates a tarot-based framework. The project's description as a "journey on the evolution of becoming" points to themes of personal growth, transformation, and self-discovery, which are central to many tarot decks. The use of photography suggests a modern, perhaps more grounded or realistic aesthetic compared to traditional illustrated decks, inviting a direct engagement with the visual content.

The artwork for this project is photography, as indicated by the title "A Photo Based Tarot Journey." While no images are available, the description suggests a focus on capturing and interpreting the universe through photographic images. This approach likely results in a deck with a realistic or symbolic visual style, using real-world scenes, objects, or possibly staged compositions to convey tarot meanings. The intention is to create a direct, image-based connection for interpretation, moving away from traditional illustrative styles.

This project would appeal to tarot readers interested in photography as an art medium for divination, particularly those who appreciate a more modern, grounded, or realistic aesthetic. It is suited for individuals on a path of self-discovery and personal evolution, who seek a deck that reflects a journey of becoming. Readers who prefer intuitive interpretation based on photographic imagery rather than traditional symbolism would also find this deck engaging.
